Sunstone

yay finally finished this! Here is Sunstone, the antagonist of the story I'm making where I'm expanding canon and avoiding homeworld and earth for the most part and instead developing my own species and planets for some gems in space fun.

Personality: A type A personality, Sunstone is an ambitious and driven gem who is determined to master everything she does and gets angry when she can't do things the first time, often setting things on fire without meaning to, much to her humiliation. She won't stop at anything when it comes to her own goals and ambitions and will throw you under the bus if she feels it will benefit her in the long run. Used to being a noble gem, Sunstone looks down her nose at organic life and most other gems.

History: Sunstone was a noble gem with a Moonstone adviser, a pearl, and several other gems in her employment, but after Homeworld began colonising Earth, Moonstone became increasingly paranoid about her and Sunstone being demoted because of the abundance of feldspar in the Earth's crust. Sunstone disregarded Moonstone's paranoia and advice to slow down the colonisation. She also ignored her better judgement to report Moonstone and told Moonstone that if she was demoted to Homeworld's version of an uber driver, she would deserve it. For that, Moonstone betrayed her.

Sunstone and her Pearl were apprehended for plotting treason and assisting the rebellion and due to be shattered for the crimes they didn't commit. The Emerald who was going to shatter them instead poofed and snuck the pair out of their cells and off planet. Sunstone and Pearl owe their lives to the emerald who chose to save them instead of shatter them and all agreed to leave Homeworld's galaxy to avoid anyone coming after them. Sunstone had the ship replaced early on to one Homeworld didn't make and couldn't track. She was introduced to entirely new cultures and didn't understand what was going on, but she took work as a bounty hunter for money and focuses her attention primarily on Moonstone and her fleet. She wants nothing more than to shatter Moonstone for what she's done.
